Product description

A compact fully manual DZOFILM Vespid Prime 50mm T2.1 cine lens for Full Frame and Vista Vision. PL mount, 16-blade iris, standard 80mm front and consistent Vespid-series ergonomics.

Vespid Prime · Full Frame Cine

A natural perspective for cinematic images

The 50mm Vespid Prime pairs a T2.1 aperture with a compact body for handheld, gimbal and studio cine-rig work. Its precise manual mechanics and 46.5mm image circle leave room for full-frame sensors.

50 mm: a versatile field of view

The natural 50mm perspective works for dialogue, details and observational scenes. Matched gear positions across the range make focal-length changes quicker on set.

Out-of-focus character produced by DZOFILM Vespid Prime lenses

Smooth focus transitions

A 16-blade iris and APO optical design help create natural defocus, control chromatic aberration and retain neutral colour reproduction. Fully manual operation supports repeatable focus pulls and exposure changes.

Precise, repeatable focusing

The focus ring provides 270° of travel for fine adjustments. Low-breathing internal mechanics keep the lens length constant while focusing and help a balanced rig stay stable.

Compact all-metal construction

The aluminium body weighs approximately 857 g, while the 46.5mm image circle covers full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. This is a fully manual cine lens without electronic communication or optical stabilization.

Practical details retained

Vespid Prime covers a 46.5mm image circle for full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. Its compact dimensions and low weight support handheld, gimbal and drone work.

The optical design controls focus breathing: the front does not rotate and the lens length does not change while focusing. It has matched cine gears, an 80mm front, M77 thread, 16-blade iris, 0.8 MOD gearing and 270° focus rotation. The PL mount is interchangeable, and an optional rear magnetic filter provides a fast way to change image character.
