A versatile 40mm foundation

DZOFILM describes the 40mm focal length as a natural and truthful full-frame choice. It keeps useful context around a subject without feeling as expansive as a conventional wide-angle lens.

Smooth focus transitions

A 10-blade iris and APO optical design help create natural defocus, control chromatic aberration and retain neutral colour reproduction. Fully manual operation supports repeatable focus pulls and exposure changes.

Precise, repeatable focusing

The focus ring provides 270° of travel for fine adjustments. Low-breathing internal mechanics keep the lens length constant while focusing and help a balanced rig stay stable.

Compact all-metal construction

The aluminium body weighs approximately 905 g, while the 46.5mm image circle covers full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. This is a fully manual cine lens without electronic communication or optical stabilization.
