Tilta Universal Motor Adapter for Tilta Mirage Pro Matte Box

The Tilta MB-T17-UMA Universal Motor Adapter adds a 15 mm rod to the 114 mm variable ND filter so a small focus motor — a Nucleus Nano II, for instance — can be fitted. ND density is then changed wirelessly, without touching the matte box. That helps anywhere the camera is out of reach: on a Steadicam, on a crane, or when the light changes faster than you can walk.

The Universal Motor Adapter for the Tilta Mirage Pro Matte Box fits onto the 114 mm variable ND filter (MB-T17-VND) and carries a small wireless focus motor. The motor then turns the ND ring instead of your hand.

Short 15 mm rod for a small motor

The adapter has an integrated 15 mm rod onto which a small focus motor clamps — Tilta names its own Nucleus Nano II as the example, but any motor with a 15 mm collar fits. The motor drives the geared ring of the variable ND filter, so density changes smoothly and precisely.

Exposure from a distance

Controlling exposure remotely makes sense whenever the camera is out of reach or the light changes faster than you can walk to it — on a Steadicam, on a crane, on a vehicle, under a broken sky. Neither the motor nor the controller is included.
