Tilta PL Mount Lens Adapter Support for Nikon ZR - Black

The Tilta PL Mount Lens Adapter Support for the Nikon ZR is an aluminium lens adapter support for the Tilta Full Camera Cage. It screws to the cage bottom plate with two screws and supports the Kippertie Z→PL adapter from below, so a heavy PL lens does not strain the camera mount and the adapter cannot rotate. It weighs just 17.5 g and adds practically nothing to the rig.

The lens adapter support is a small part with a big job: anyone mounting cine lenses on the Nikon ZR through the Kippertie Z→PL adapter carries the whole weight of the lens on the camera mount. This support transfers part of the load into the cage — the Tilta Full Camera Cage for the Nikon ZR — and at the same time stops the adapter rotating.

Mounts to the cage with two screws

The support screws to the bottom plate of the cage (Full Camera Cage for the Nikon ZR) and to the lens adapter — two points of contact in total, which lock the connection firmly and all but rule out unintended rotation. Its shape is designed precisely for the Kippertie Z→PL adapter.

Only 17.5 g more

The support is machined from aluminium alloy and weighs 17.5 g, so it adds practically no load to the rig and does not upset the balance on a gimbal. Yet it holds the adapter with a PL lens from below, where the greatest leverage occurs — the camera mount is spared.

The Tilta cage family for the Nikon ZR

The cage is the foundation of four kits: the Full Camera Cage on its own, the Base Kit with a Xeno top handle, the Pro Kit with top and side handles, a height-adjustable ARCA baseplate and 15 mm rods, and the Power Kit with a Mini PD V-Mount battery plate on an adjustable ARCA receiver.
