Tilta NATO to ARCA Adapter - Space Gray

The Tilta TA-NATO-ARCA-SG is a NATO clamp to ARCA plate adapter for the Khronos Universal Smartphone Case. On top is a NATO clamp with a rotary LOCK that drops onto any NATO rail of the cage, underneath an ARCA-Swiss dovetail that fits a tripod head or gimbal with an ARCA clamp. Going from handheld to a tripod takes seconds, with no screwing. Aluminium alloy, Space Gray.

The Tilta TA-NATO-ARCA-SG joins two quick-release standards: the NATO rail on the Khronos cage and the ARCA-Swiss clamp on a tripod or gimbal.

NATO clamp with a LOCK

The top of the adapter is a NATO clamp: it drops onto the NATO rail of the cage — the bottom rail of the Khronos Universal Smartphone Case, but any other one as well — and the rotary LOCK secures it in one move. The adapter can stay on the cage or move to whichever rail suits a given head best, and comes off as quickly as it went on.

ARCA-Swiss plate for tripod and gimbal

The underside has the ARCA-Swiss dovetail profile, the plate most tripod heads and gimbals can clamp. The cage with the phone goes from handheld to a tripod for a locked-off shot and to a gimbal for a move without anything being screwed — shooting pauses only until the head grips the plate. The aluminium body adds minimal weight to the cage and does not change its balance.

The Tilta NATO system

A NATO rail is a dovetail profile the clamp drops onto from above and locks with a lever — no screwing, repeatable, with a safety catch against sliding off. Tilta puts it on cages, handles and arms and backs it with adapters: clamps with a joint for a monitor, adapters from NATO to cold shoe, ARCA or 1/4"-20 thread, rod holders and rails that add the NATO interface where it is missing. This part is one of them.
