The Tilta Khronos Cooling System for the Universal Smartphone Case keeps the phone at working temperature even during long recording. It clicks onto the cage in one move and runs in three modes from 18 to 27 W; in the strongest it cools the contacted surface in as little as 40 seconds and so prevents thermal throttling.

Shooting 4K or streaming for a long time heats the phone up and it throttles itself — the image starts to stutter or the recording stops. The Khronos cooling system prevents that actively: a high-performance fan with smart temperature control runs continuously and carries heat away from the phone body.

Onto the cage with one click

The cooling system attaches to the Khronos Universal Smartphone Case cage with one click, no tools, and comes off just as fast. It sits on the back of the phone right where it heats up most during recording, and a high-performance fan with smart temperature control carries the heat away from the phone body. During longer shoots, streams or ProRes RAW recording the phone stays fast and doesn't throttle itself.

Three cooling modes

Blue mode runs at 18–27 W with smart temperature-controlled cooling for ordinary longer shoots. Purple mode works at 20–27 W and adds automatic fan speed adjustment to the temperature control, balancing performance and consumption. Red mode delivers a full 27 W of maximum cooling for the most demanding situations — the contacted surface is cooled in as little as 40 seconds.
