Tilta 15mm Rod Holder to NATO Rail Attachment - Black

The Tilta TA-15RH-NATO-B is a 15 mm rod holder that adds a NATO rail to the rod: the clamp with a toggle screw grips the rod anywhere along its length, a unidirectional NATO rail with a safety pin sticks out from the side, alongside 1/4"-20 threads with locating pin holes. It takes the Nucleus Nano II hand wheel in the position of a mechanical follow focus, an articulating arm or other NATO accessories. Aluminium alloy, black.

The Tilta TA-15RH-NATO-B answers the question of how to get an accessory with a NATO clamp onto the 15 mm rods under the lens — say, the Nucleus Nano II hand wheel where a mechanical follow focus would sit.

15 mm rod clamp with a toggle screw

The holder grips a single 15 mm rod and tightens with the toggle screw. The screw turns 360°, so the lever points wherever it is out of the way and releases without tools — sliding the holder along the rod or taking it off takes a moment.

NATO rail with a safety pin and 1/4"-20 threads

The side of the holder carries a unidirectional NATO rail with a safety pin at one end: the NATO clamp slides on from the other side and the pin stops it going further than it should. This is where the Nucleus Nano II hand wheel goes — on the rod under the lens it then sits in the position a focus puller knows from a mechanical follow focus. Beside the rail are 1/4"-20 threads with locating pin holes for an articulating arm, a monitor or other accessories.

The Tilta NATO system

A NATO rail is a dovetail profile the clamp drops onto from above and locks with a lever — no screwing, repeatable, with a safety catch against sliding off.
