Tilta NATO Clamp Ball Joint

The Tilta TA-NATO-BJ is a ball joint with a NATO clamp mount for the Tilta Mini Articulating Arm. The clamp drops onto a NATO rail on a cage, handle or bracket and the lever locks it; taking it off is just as quick, with no tools. In the arm, the joint swaps with the original one in seconds. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel, in black.

The Tilta TA-NATO-BJ moves the Mini Articulating Arm onto a NATO rail — the quick-release standard most Tilta cages and handles carry on the side and on top.

NATO clamp with a lever

The mount is a clamp for a NATO rail: it drops onto the rail from above, the lever folds down and the clamp grips the rail. The arm holds on the cage or handle as firmly as if bolted, yet comes off in one move — say, when the monitor has to go from the side of the cage to the top handle. No tools and no screws.

Swapped in the arm without tools

The Tilta Mini Articulating Arm has a clamp at each end that grips the ball. Release the clamp, the original joint comes out, this one goes in and the clamp locks it again — it takes a few seconds and the arm is ready for a different kind of mount. The other end can keep the original 1/4″-20 joint, or take another mount from the series: ARRI rosette, cold shoe, 15/19 mm rod clamp, GoPro or SmallHD.

Tilta ball joints

The Tilta Mini Articulating Arm has swappable ball joints at both ends: pull one out, push another in and lock it, no tools. Ends come for ARRI rosette, cold shoe, NATO rail, 15/19 mm rods, GoPro and SmallHD, plus an extended ball joint arm for more reach. The parts combine freely — a monitor, light or transmitter lands exactly where the rig has room; this joint is one of them.
