Tilta Compact NATO Top Handle with NATO Rail Kit - Black

The Tilta TA-QRTH7-NRK-B is a kit of the Compact NATO Top Handle and a 36 mm NATO rail. The rail bolts to the top plate of the cage with two 1/4"-20 screws, the handle drops onto it with its NATO clamp and locks with the LOCK lever — and comes off in one move. The handle carries 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and a cold shoe for a monitor, microphone or light. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TA-QRTH7-NRK-B is the top handle for a cage that has no NATO rail on top: the rail in the kit adds one, and from then on the handle goes on and off the camera without tools.

Compact top handle with a NATO clamp

The Compact NATO Top Handle has a NATO clamp with a LOCK lever on its underside: it drops onto the NATO rail, the lever folds down and the handle holds as if bolted. For transport or a switch to a gimbal it comes off in one move. On top it carries 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pin holes and at the front a cold shoe, so a monitor, microphone or small light sits on it.

36 mm NATO rail for the cage

The 36mm NATO Rail Attachment is a short NATO profile that bolts with the two included 1/4"-20 screws to the top plate of a Tilta cage — or to any other part with two 1/4"-20 threads at the matching spacing. The cage thereby gains a NATO interface on top that takes the handle from the kit as well as other Tilta NATO accessories: monitor mounts, adapters to cold shoe or side handles.

A NATO rail is a dovetail profile the clamp drops onto from above and locks with a lever — no screwing, repeatable, with a safety catch against sliding off. Tilta puts it on cages, handles and arms and backs it with adapters: clamps with a joint for a monitor, adapters from NATO to cold shoe, ARCA or 1/4"-20 thread, rod holders and rails that add the NATO interface where it is missing. This part is one of them.
