Tilta Accessory Mounting Bracket (1/4"-20 with Locating Pins) - Black

The Tilta TA-AMB3-B is an accessory bracket with a joint that has a 1/4"-20 screw with locating pins at both ends: the lower one screws into the thread of a cage or plate, the upper one carries a monitor or wireless video transmitter. The joint pans 360° and tilts 175°, and the locking screw holds the position even with heavier accessories. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TA-AMB3-B is the version of the Accessory Mounting Bracket with a 1/4"-20 thread at both ends — it fits wherever there is a thread with locating pin holes, including a cage without a NATO rail.

1/4"-20 thread with locating pins at both ends

Top and bottom each carry a 1/4"-20 screw with two locating pins. The lower one screws into the thread on a cage, top plate or handle; the pins drop into the holes beside the thread and the bracket does not twist even under the weight of a monitor. The accessory sits on top the same way — a monitor or transmitter with pin holes holds without twisting, an accessory with a plain thread simply screws on.

Joint: 360° pan, 175° tilt

The joint between the two screws pans 360° around the vertical axis and tilts 175°, so the monitor faces you from the side of the cage as well as from the top. Tighten the locking screw on the side of the joint for heavier accessories — the position then holds even with a transmitter or a monitor with a battery.

The Tilta NATO system

A NATO rail is a dovetail profile the clamp drops onto from above and locks with a lever — no screwing, repeatable, with a safety catch against sliding off. Tilta puts it on cages, handles and arms and backs it with adapters: clamps with a joint for a monitor, adapters from NATO to cold shoe, ARCA or 1/4"-20 thread, rod holders and rails that add the NATO interface where it is missing. This part is one of them.
