Tilta NATO Clamp to Cold Shoe Adapter - Black

The Tilta TA-NTC-CSA-B is a NATO clamp to cold shoe adapter: underneath a NATO clamp with a lever and safety catch that drops onto the NATO rail of a cage, on top a cold shoe with a locking screw for a microphone, light or monitor mount. It slides along the rail without tools, and the PRESS catch keeps it from sliding off. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TA-NTC-CSA-B adds a cold shoe where the cage has only a NATO rail — and unlike a fixed shoe, it slides along the rail to wherever it is needed at the moment.

NATO clamp with a lever and PRESS catch

The underside is a NATO clamp: it drops from above onto the NATO rail of a cage, handle or arm and the lever grips it. The PRESS button is the safety catch — the clamp leaves the end of the rail only when the button is pressed, so a microphone or light does not fall even when the lever is released to reposition it. Changing the position on the rail takes seconds and needs no tools.

Cold shoe on top

The top carries a cold shoe with a locking screw. Anything with a cold shoe foot slides in — a microphone, a small light, a wireless receiver or a monitor mount with a foot (such as the Tilta Accessory Mounting Bracket in its cold shoe version) — and the screw tightens the foot in the shoe so it does not wobble. Typical use: a monitor or microphone on the top NATO rail of the cage that comes off in an instant, adapter and all.

The Tilta NATO system

A NATO rail is a dovetail profile the clamp drops onto from above and locks with a lever — no screwing, repeatable, with a safety catch against sliding off. Tilta puts it on cages, handles and arms and backs it with adapters: clamps with a joint for a monitor, adapters from NATO to cold shoe, ARCA or 1/4"-20 thread, rod holders and rails that add the NATO interface where it is missing.
