The SKAARHOJ RCPv2 Joystick with Blue Pill Inside is an advanced IP-based camera shading controller built for broadcast, live production, and studio environments where precise and consistent camera matching is essential. Designed to support multiple camera brands—including Sony, Panasonic, Canon, ARRI, RED, and Dream Chip—it enables operators to fine-tune image parameters quickly and efficiently across complex multicamera setups.
At its core, the unit integrates Blue Pill Inside technology, embedding Reactor 2.0, Device Cores, and skaarOS Linux directly into the hardware. This provides a powerful and flexible platform for deep customization through the Reactor Web UI, allowing users to tailor workflows, button mappings, and device integrations to their exact needs.
Control is centered around a versatile joystick system designed for PTZ, zoom, and focus adjustments, complemented by 8 LED-backlit encoders, multiple elastomer buttons, and configurable four-way controls. The interface is enhanced with a large segmented OLED display, additional OLED tiles, and encoder-integrated displays, ensuring clear real-time feedback during operation.
The RCPv2 Joystick also includes a DB-9 GPIO port for seamless integration into existing broadcast infrastructure, making it suitable for drop-in deployment in established control rooms and OB vans. Its classic RCP rack form factor ensures compatibility with standard consoles while maintaining a compact footprint.
Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), Micro-USB for service access, optional Wi-Fi support, and a 2.1 mm DC power input. The unit can be powered via PoE or the included AC adapter with a 5-foot cable, providing flexible installation options for both fixed and mobile production environments.
