Sennheiser MZQ 800 microphone clamp

The Sennheiser MZQ 800 is the original microphone clamp for the evolution wired series and the MD 42 and MD 46 reporter microphones. It screws onto a standard microphone stand and holds the mic at the angle you set, so your hands stay free and handling noise stays out of the signal. The tilting head lets you aim the capsule precisely at a singer, speaker or instrument and lock it in place, on stage, at a lectern or in the studio. At 51 g it adds almost nothing to a boom arm, and the tough moulded body survives daily load-in and load-out. It fits fifteen Sennheiser models including the e 835, e 845, e 865, e 935 and e 945.

The threaded socket accepts a standard microphone stand, and the head tilts and locks with the knurled screw. Set the capsule angle once and it holds through a whole show — no slow drift downwards during the second set. The whole clamp weighs 51 g, so it changes nothing about how a boom arm is balanced, and it is the part Sennheiser ships with these microphones, so a replacement behaves exactly like the one you lost.
