The Sennheiser e 945 is the professional end of the evolution wired range: a dynamic supercardioid vocal microphone with an exceptionally clear, immediate sound and outstanding feedback rejection. It reaches to 18,000 Hz, further than the e 835 and e 845, which is where its openness and detail come from — voices keep their air, and drums and percussion come through vivid and crisp. A neodymium magnet with boron holds the output stable regardless of climate, and the falcon ring keeps the sound consistent as the microphone ages, which is why rental companies pick it. The metal body and sturdy grille survive daily stage work, the capsule is shock-mounted and a hum-compensating coil keeps electrical interference out.
