The Sennheiser e 845 is a dynamic supercardioid vocal microphone for stages that are genuinely loud. The narrower supercardioid pattern tightens the pickup zone around the voice and rejects more of what is happening to the sides, which is exactly what a singer standing in front of a hot monitor wedge needs. Extended high-frequency response and a presence lift give the vocal the projection to cut through a full band, while consistent on- and off-axis response keeps the tone stable as the singer moves. Full metal construction with extensive shock-mounting keeps handling noise and interference out of the signal, and a hum-compensating coil deals with buzz from stage lighting. Frequency response is 40–16,000 Hz, sensitivity 1.8 mV/Pa, nominal impedance 350 Ω, output 3-pin XLR. The MZQ 800 clamp and a pouch are included.

Where a cardioid mic runs out of room, the supercardioid e 845 keeps going. It narrows the pickup zone around the voice, rejects more spill from the sides and delivers the output needed to cut through a full band.
The supercardioid pattern narrows the pickup zone so the voice stays front and centre while off-axis bleed drops away. In practice that means more gain before feedback with monitors close by, and a cleaner vocal channel when the drummer and the guitar amp are only a few steps away.
Consistent on- and off-axis and proximity response keeps the sound the same whether the singer is right on the grille or working the mic at arm's length. Full metal construction and extensive suspension keep handling noise down, so the freedom to move does not cost the mix.
