The Sennheiser e 835 is a dynamic cardioid microphone built for lead vocals on stage. Its balanced frequency response keeps the voice consistent as a singer moves on and off axis, and a gentle presence lift adds clarity and projection without harshness. The minimal proximity effect means the bass end stays controlled whether the singer works the mic closely or backs away from it. The cardioid pattern rejects what is happening elsewhere on stage, so the monitors can go louder before feedback. Inside the rugged metal body the capsule is shock-mounted and a hum-compensating coil keeps interference out of the signal. Frequency response is 40–16,000 Hz, sensitivity 2.7 mV/Pa, output is a standard 3-pin XLR. It ships with the MZQ 800 clamp and a pouch.

Louder monitors before feedback

The cardioid pattern isolates the voice from everything else on stage — wedges, cymbals, guitar cabs. That headroom is what lets an engineer push the monitors far enough for the singer to hear themselves. The shock-mounted capsule and the metal body take care of the rest: handling noise stays out even when the mic is gripped hard.

Ready to work out of the box

Every e 835 comes with the MZQ 800 clamp and a soft pouch, so it goes straight onto a stand at the first rehearsal. A hum-compensating coil keeps buzz from lighting rigs and dimmers out of the signal, and the 3-pin XLR output works with any mic preamp or mixer.
