The Sennheiser e 825-S is the entry point to the evolution wired range: a dynamic cardioid microphone for vocals, speech and instruments, with a silent lockable ON/OFF switch. Its cardioid pattern focuses on the source in front of it and rejects what is happening off-axis, which is what keeps a club PA or a school hall usable before feedback sets in. The response runs 80 Hz to 15,000 Hz with a gentle lift around 5 kHz that helps words carry. The dynamic capsule needs no phantom power, so it works with any mixer, and it is shock-mounted inside a metal body to keep handling noise out of the signal. The switch locks, so it cannot be knocked on or off mid-performance. Sensitivity 1.5 mV/Pa, nominal impedance 350 Ω, 3-pin XLR, 330 g. Supplied with the MZQ 800 clamp and a pouch.
