Saramonic SR-C2018 3.5mm TRS Female to Lightning Adapter

The Saramonic SR-C2018 is a short adapter with a 3.5 mm TRS jack and an Apple MFi certified Lightning connector. The output cable of a microphone, wireless receiver, recorder or mixer plugs into the jack and the audio goes straight into an iPhone or iPad. It supplies plug-in power to battery-free on-camera, lavalier and mini shotgun microphones. It is designed for audio input only.

3.5 mm TRS jack

The plug of the output cable from a microphone, receiver or recorder goes into the gold-plated 3.5 mm TRS jack. The Lightning connector is Apple MFi certified, and gold-plated contacts carry the signal well.

A wireless receiver on an iPhone

The cable of a wireless receiver or microphone plugs into the adapter, and the adapter into the iPhone. The audio is then recorded by a video, recording or streaming app that supports external Lightning audio.

Input to the phone only

The SR-C2018 brings audio into an iPhone or iPad and does not send audio out – headphones and other devices cannot be connected to it. For microphones with a four-pole TRRS plug, use the SR-C2002 adapter.

Additional information

The adapter weighs 5 g and, thanks to its short cable, fits in a pocket. It suits video shooting with a microphone on a phone, podcasts with a mixer connected to an iPad and live streaming through a wireless receiver. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion.
