Saramonic CamMic+

The Saramonic CamMic+ is a lightweight yet durable directional microphone for cameras, camcorders and phones, powered by a single AA battery. It is the ideal choice for cameras that do not provide plug-in power and it saves your camera and phone battery. A three-position switch turns on the mic and the 80 Hz low-cut filter, and an indicator warns of a low battery. The integrated shock mount absorbs bumps; TRS and TRS–TRRS cables are included.

Powered by an AA battery

The CamMic+ runs on a single AA battery, so it works with cameras and camcorders that do not power a microphone and it does not drain your camera or phone battery. One battery lasts for days of shooting.

Switch and indicator

A three-position switch on the back selects off, on, and on with the 80 Hz low-cut filter. The blue indicator lights up when the mic is on and turns red when the battery needs replacing.

Shoe mount with 1/4" thread

The built-in shoe mount slides into the cold shoe of a camera or camcorder. A metal 1/4"-20 thread at its base lets you mount the microphone on a tripod, handle, gimbal, boom pole or stand as well.

Rugged shock mount

The integrated shock mount of the CamMic+ has a sturdy, sweeping design. Unlike wiry mounts it does not bend, it isolates the microphone from bumps and handling noise and keeps its position towards the sound source.

Dual-layer foam windscreen

The fitted dual-layer foam windscreen with a firm gasket gives the CamMic+ its distinctive look. It reduces wind noise, protects the microphone from dust and weather and stays securely in place on the move.

On a camera or camcorder

On a DSLR, mirrorless camera or camcorder the microphone captures noticeably clearer sound than the built-in mic. The coiled TRS–TRS cable with gold-plated right-angle connectors goes into the 3.5 mm mic input and can be detached.

Phone, tablet and vlog

For phones and tablets with a headphone jack a coiled TRS–TRRS cable is included. The microphone attaches to a phone via a phone holder with a cold shoe (sold separately) and suits vlogs, interviews and live streams.

The Saramonic CamMic+ is a lightweight yet durably built, AA-battery powered shotgun microphone that delivers clear, broadcast-quality sound to DSLR, mirrorless and video cameras and mobile devices without plug-in power. It offers solid construction and good sound at an affordable price. An LED shows power and battery status. Two detachable cables are included: 3.5 mm TRS for cameras and 3.5 mm TRRS for smartphones and tablets.

The microphone is best used within 4′ (about 1.2 m) of the subject. Its cardioid pickup pattern focuses on sound in front of the camera and reduces distracting background noise.
