SONY News from NAB 2010 in Las Vegas!

SONY also showcased a number of new products at NAB, which we will bring to you in turn on our website. Among the first is the SONY HXR-MC50E

, a small, ultra-compact Full HD AVCHD camera with recording to 64GB internal memory. In addition to the internal memory, it has a Memory Stick and SD card slot, 1/2.88" Exmor R CMOS Sensor with ClearVid technology, 10x Sony G wide lens (29.8mm when converted to 35mm) with 3.5" LCD monitor, GPS module, external shotgun microphone and Direct Copy function.


The next, much bigger news is the "little brother" of the PMW-350, the SONY PMW-320 XDCAM EX camera, which will feature 1/2 chips, a few minor differences and of course a lower price. In addition to the new camera, SONY also introduced a new 7.4" OLED monitor , the SONY PVM-740, which features much higher contrast and color fidelity (10-bit) and composite, 3D/SD/HD-SDI and HDMI connectivity. New production switchers were also introduced, notably a new compact multi-format HD/SD switcher called the SONY DFS-900M and an all-new series of digital wireless microphones and receivers. All new products will be available from time to time and we will keep you informed of their further specifications.
