Manfrotto Video camera plate (180mm long) with metric ruler

The Manfrotto 504PLONGRL is an extra-long 180 mm sliding video plate with a metric ruler for precise, repeatable balancing of heavier or front- and rear-heavy camera rigs. Its extended travel makes it easier to find the correct centre of gravity after changing a lens, battery or accessory, while rubber contact surfaces and a removable anti-rotation pin help keep the camera stable. This is the longer ruler-equipped version, not the 140 mm 504PLONGR-1 or the standard 504PLONG.

The sliding 504PLONGRL plate combines a 180 mm length with an easy-to-read metric scale. A previous balance position can be repeated after changing lenses, batteries or accessories, helping a compatible video head retain smooth tilt and pan movement.

The aluminium construction keeps weight to 0.12 kg while measuring 180 × 50 × 11 mm. Manfrotto lists compatibility with the MVH502AH, MVH502A, 504HD, 509HD, MVHN8AH and MVHN12AH heads; its current compatibility chart also covers selected newer 400, 500X, 504X and Nitrotech heads.
