Balance you can recall
Adjust pan and tilt drag independently. Electronic ABR remembers the balanced plate position; its LEDs guide you as you slide the plate back manually. It does not move the camera or store drag settings.
FAST leg setup
FAST Lever Locks open and close the twin carbon legs with one hand. Set the leg angles to 20°, 50° or 70°, then use the telescopic 2-in-1 spreader at mid or ground level to suit the location.
Counterbalance guide
Three active spring settings plus OFF let you match the camera setup. The current head figures are 8.5 kg at 125 mm and 12.8 kg at 55 mm centre of gravity; the complete kit’s 13.5 kg certified payload is a separate limit.

The original chart marks the middle setting at 55 mm as 8.5 kg; the current head manual gives 8.4 kg. This source discrepancy is unresolved, so the original graphic is retained without silently changing its figures.

The legacy videos demonstrate the included 509HD head and 645 FAST carbon legs separately, not the complete current kit. Shown configurations and launch figures are historical. Use the current exact-kit specifications and the qualified head manual rather than treating either component video as current package or stock-revision data.
Ready for changing locations
The 509HD provides continuously variable pan and tilt drag, independent locks and 360° pan. Easy Link 3/8″ connectors support compatible accessories. An illuminated bubble level helps set the horizon, and the replaceable bilateral rosettes accept the telescopic pan bar on either side.
The 509PLONG sliding plate has a secondary safety lock. Camera mounting uses a 1/4″ screw with a 3/8″ adapter and anti-rotation pin. For ABR recall, keep the camera configuration unchanged; rebalance after changing the camera or accessories. Other compatible 504PLONGR/RL plates must not be assumed to provide the 509 plate’s indexed ABR reference.
The 100 mm bowl supports the included head. The exact kit page lists 75 mm adaptation as an accessory, but the standalone 645 legs manual says the AA 100-to-75 mm bowl adapter is supplied. The adapter contents of this kit are therefore not consistently confirmed by these sources. At 50° or 70° leg angles, never fully extend the leg sections. Adjust the height before changing the leg angles. Spiked feet with rubber overshoes suit different surfaces. Working height is 43.5–173 cm, closed length 89.5 cm and kit weight 7.5 kg. The padded MBMBAG100PN bag carries the system between studio and location. The manufacturer’s 75 mm adaptation detail shows the conversion, not independent proof of this kit’s contents.
For heavier cameras, MVK526TWINFA is a different choice: its 526 head supports 16 kg and continuously adjustable counterbalance of 8–15 kg at 125 mm, requiring a setup of at least 8 kg. Its 645 legs are aluminium, maximum height is 171.5 cm, and it uses the different 357PLV-1 plate without ABR or Easy Link. It is not a like-for-like carbon substitute; check the current product prices before choosing.
