Libec LX-5RM

The LX-5RM tripod kit consists of the innovative RT30RB tripod legs, LX5 video head, handle, and BR-2B center spreader. The package also includes an RC-20 carrying bag. The system carries cameras up to 5 kg, weighs 5.3 kg and adjusts from 81 to 165.5 cm. The LX5 head has fixed counterbalance and drag, a +90° to −80° tilt range and a sliding plate with ±40 mm travel.

For small cameras with rigs

Libec designed the LX5 series for small cameras fitted with monitors and rigs. The LX5 head has fixed counterbalance and drag, so it is ready to work as soon as the camera is mounted.

Solid locks, safe legs

The upper leg locks of the RT30RB tripod are made of die-cast aluminium for a firm, reliable hold. A gap between the legs protects your fingers when collapsing the tripod.

Mid-level spreader and FP-2B feet

The BR-2B mid-level spreader keeps the legs at a fixed spread and the large FP-2B rubber feet give a firm footing. The whole system fits into the supplied RC-20 case.

A handle for quick moves

The removable carrying handle comes as standard and makes the tripod easy to carry during run-and-gun shooting. The base below the head offers three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threads for a monitor or light.

Tilt +90° to −80°

The head works from −20 to +60 °C and has a bubble level.

Layered drag unit

Metal layers with fine silicone grease give smooth starts and stops.

Sliding plate

The ±40 mm sliding plate attaches with a 1/4" screw and video pin.

75 mm ball

The head also fits any other tripod with a 75 mm bowl.

The kit provides three sets of accessory ports and a carrying handle, which greatly facilitates carrying the tripod and makes it ideal for quick, flexible shooting (run-and-gun). FP-2B rubber feet are also included for greater stability.

Accessory port for added convenience. The tripod head mounting base is equipped with three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threaded connection ports, allowing for more stable and convenient attachment of accessories such as monitors or lights.

Sturdy leg lock construction. The main parts of the upper leg locks are made of die-cast aluminum, which ensures a solid and durable lock.

Practical carrying handle. A transport handle is included, which significantly improves mobility and is ideal for quick, flexible filming (run-and-gun filming). The handle comes as standard equipment and can also be removed if necessary.

Safety design. With safety in mind, the tripod legs are carefully designed with a gap that prevents fingers from getting pinched when folding the tripod intentionally or unintentionally.

Smooth drag unit. The layered metal unit in the drag system ensures easy operation, long life, and reliability. Thanks to a fine silicone lubricant, the drag system provides smoother start-up and overall better reverse control.
