Libec ALX S4

The Libec ALX S4 is a slider with an 400 mm rail and 308 mm of travel. The platform runs on eight ball bearings without wobble, carries 15 kg and takes a head on a 3/8" screw. The legs fold through 180°, and with the supplied adapter the slider also mounts on a tripod with a 75 mm bowl. It weighs 1.4 kg and comes with a padded carrying case.

Eight bearings, no wobble

The platform runs on eight high-performance ball bearings with special grease. They sandwich the rail from the top and at an angle from below, preventing wobble during moves.

Legs that fold 180°

The legs open and close through 180°, so the slider goes into its case with the legs attached. The rail is released with the leg lock knob and is easy to replace.

On a tripod or head

The supplied tripod mount adapter and bowl clamp fit the slider to any 75 mm bowl tripod. The head attaches to the platform with a 3/8" screw.

Drag matched to the load

A spring-loaded friction knob fine-tunes the slide to the camera weight. Bearing pressure against the rail is adjusted with the supplied hex wrench.

15 kg payload

Applies with the slider standing on its own legs.

Threads on the rail

The underside of the rail has 1/4" and 3/8" holes.

Maintenance

A rail cleaning brush and a 2.5 mm hex wrench are included.

Three lengths

The ALX S line comes as S4 (400 mm), S8 (800 mm) and S12 (1200 mm).

The redesigned ALX H head not only has better features than the previous generation, but can also be easily attached to a tripod with a 75mm bowl, to a tripod with a flat base and to the ALX S slider. The Libec ALX system is a truly flexible and complete system suitable for a wide variety of projects.

Basic features of the Libec ALX S slider:

• the slider legs can be opened and closed at 180°, allowing easy and stable unfolding or folding into a transport bag
• thanks to the rotary knob, precise adjustment of the slider for the desired weight of the technician is possible
• possibility to adjust the pressure or resistance of the trolley against the rail for better control of movement
• attachment to tripod and 75mm tray included

Wide range of control options

Ideal slider for capturing soft and smooth shots. Smoothness and fluidity of movement is achieved by high quality bearings with special lubricant. The wheels are effectively positioned on top and diagonally on the side of the slider, encircling the slider on each side and preventing the moving part from wobbling when moving.
