Libec ALLEX H Dual-Base Fluid Head

A lightweight video head for cameras weighing up to 4.08 kg. Its dual-base design—featuring both a 75 mm bowl and a flat base with a 3/8" thread—allows it to mount on most tripods as well as the ALLEX S slider. Tilt ranges from +90° to −80°, counterbalance and drag are fixed, and the camera is balanced with a ±40 mm sliding plate.

The Libec ALLEX H is Libec’s lightest video head, made for mirrorless cameras and small camcorders up to 4.08 kg. Its dual base – a 75 mm bowl and a flat bottom with a 3/8" thread – fits bowl tripods, flat tripods and the ALLEX S slider. Counterbalance and drag are fixed.

Two bases in one

The bottom of the head is both a 75 mm bowl and a flat plate with a 3/8" thread. It mounts on a bowl tripod, a flat tripod head or a slider platform.

Bowl clamp included

The head attaches to a 75 mm bowl tripod with the supplied clamp. Switching between tripod and slider takes a moment.

The ALLEX system

With the ALLEX S slider and ALLEX T tripod, the head forms a modular system you assemble to suit the shot.

No tuning, just shoot

Counterbalance and drag are fixed for one camera weight class. There is nothing to tune: you balance the camera by sliding the plate.

The ALLEX H is Libec’s lightest video head. It is designed for setups weighing up to 4.08 kg, meaning mirrorless cameras and smaller camcorders.

A unique feature is its dual-base design. The bottom of the head serves as both a 75 mm cup and a flat plate with a 3/8" threaded hole. This means the same head fits on a tripod with a 75 mm cup as well as on a tripod with a flat head—and also on the ALLEX S slider rail, with which it forms a single modular system.

The tilt range is +90° downward and −80° upward, with a full 360° of rotation. Movement damping and balancing are fixed —the head cannot be adjusted, which simplifies use but also means it is designed for a specific weight class of cameras.

The camera is mounted on a sliding plate with a 1/4" screw and a guide pin; the plate can be moved ±40 mm to balance the assembly. A spirit level with LED backlighting indicates the horizontal position, making it readable even after dark.
