Libec ALX S8

The Libec ALX S8 is a slider with an 800 mm rail and 708 mm of travel. The platform runs on eight ball bearings without wobble, carries 15 kg and takes a head on a 3/8" screw. The legs fold through 180°, and with the supplied adapter the slider also mounts on a tripod with a 75 mm bowl. It weighs 1.8 kg and comes with a padded carrying case.

Eight bearings, no wobble

The platform runs on eight high-performance ball bearings with special grease. They sandwich the rail from the top and at an angle from below, preventing wobble during moves.

Legs that fold 180°

The legs open and close through 180°, so the slider goes into its case with the legs attached. The rail is released with the leg lock knob and is easy to replace.

On a tripod or head

The supplied tripod mount adapter and bowl clamp fit the slider to any 75 mm bowl tripod. The head attaches to the platform with a 3/8" screw.

Drag matched to the load

A spring-loaded friction knob fine-tunes the slide to the camera weight. Bearing pressure against the rail is adjusted with the supplied hex wrench.

15 kg payload

Applies with the slider standing on its own legs.

Threads on the rail

The underside of the rail has 1/4" and 3/8" holes.

Maintenance

A rail cleaning brush and a 2.5 mm hex wrench are included.

The ALX S line comes as S4 (400 mm), S8 (800 mm) and S12 (1200 mm).

• thanks to the rotary knob, precise adjustment of the slider for the desired weight of the technician is possible
• possibility of adjusting the pressure or resistance of the trolley against the rail for better control of the movement
• attachment to tripod and 75mm bowl included

Wide control options

The perfect slider for shooting smooth and fluid shots. Smoothness and smoothness of movement is achieved by high quality bearings with special lubricant. The wheels are positioned effectively on top and at an angle on the side of the slider, thus encircling the slider on each side and preventing the moving part from wobbling as it moves.

By combining the ALX S KIT and the ALX H video head alone, you get a kit with which you can create truly diverse shots in a wide variety of situations.
