The "2-in-1" feature lets you combine two still images or movies into a single frame right in the camera, offering additional creative storytelling possibilities. The X-HF1 uses FUJIFILM's unique colour reproduction technology to create exceptional images. "X half" is inspired by cameras that used a half-frame cinema film oriented in portrait orientation. As a result, it offers new creative possibilities and enchanting photographic experiences.
The optical viewfinder evokes the feel of classic film cameras, recreating and enhancing the distinctive experience of these devices. "X half" features popular functions such as "film simulation" and "grain effect" to reproduce the unique grain structure and colors of film photographs. It also offers new filters such as "light leak" and "halation", giving photographers a wide range for creative expression.
The design and aesthetics evoke the appeal of classic cameras in a compact body weighing just 240g. The compact size and easy-to-use touch controls on the rear LCD mean you're ready to shoot anytime, anywhere.
the "X half" has its own mobile app (X half app) that enhances the joy of viewing, sharing and printing. Pairing the camera with mobile devices via Bluetooth allows you to transfer images and movies to smartphones, enjoy a variety of viewing formats and send images to instax™ Link series printers.
"Movie Camera" mode simulates the experience of shooting on film. When using the optical viewfinder, you pull a lever after each shot that evokes film rewinding on traditional cameras. This is how you digitally develop images through the "X half" app.
New photographic expressions with X half
The X half features a rear LCD display with a 3:4 aspect ratio and an optical viewfinder for composing vertical images. It can be used to create vertical photos and videos commonly taken with smartphones.
The X half is equipped with a 1-inch sensor with BSI technology and a 32mm (converted to 35mm film field) prime lens with F2.8 aperture, providing high quality, clear images in a compact and lightweight design. The focal length is identical to a disposable camera called QuickSnap.
You can easily create2-in-1 images directly in the camera by combining vertical photos/videos using the image shift lever. You can also create 2-in-1 snapshots by combining your favourite images through the app. The app also allows for simple and intuitive editing, including changing colors, split line size, or swapping left and right images.
X half features 13 film simulations that provide many different color expressions, including the "REALA ACE" simulation, which combines faithful color reproduction with dynamic tonal expression.
New photographic experiences and the joy of film-inspired photography
X half introduces three new filters inspired by film photography: 'Light Leak', 'Halation' and 'Expired Film'. You can enjoy a unique cinematic expression in your digital device. In addition, X half offers eight popular filters from the instax™ range.
The X half features a "grain effect" that adds natural film grain to the entire image, creating images with a texture that is similar to film photography. The grain effect has options that you can use to better fine-tune the result for your images and videos.
The X half also features a new "Date Stamp" feature that allows you to stamp dates (year/month/day) in the bottom right corner of images and videos just like film photos.
X half offers a "Film Camera" mode. This mode mimics film photography in the digital era by initially selecting a film simulation and number of frames, and images cannot be viewed until all frames have been taken. Pulling the frame advance lever on the camera's top panel allows the shutter to be released next, just as you rewind film and wind the shutter on analog cameras. Once you've taken the selected number of shots, transfer the image data to the new "X half app" where you can digitally develop, view, edit and share the captured images.

The X half has a new interface that is controlled by swiping and scrolling on the two rear LCDs. Smooth touch controls allow the user to intuitively change shooting settings, film simulation and provide comfortable operation of the compact camera.
The camera's optical viewfinder captures scenes exactly as you see them. With the optical viewfinder, you can capture up to 880 images and immerse yourself in photography for a full day without worrying about battery life.
