DZOFILM Arles Zoom 25-75mm T2.6 PL mount Metric Black

The DZOFILM Arles Zoom 25–75mm T2.6 is a full-frame wide-to-standard cine zoom with a 43.5mm image circle. It holds a constant T2.6 across the whole range, is parfocal and matches the colour of the Arles primes. This version has a PL mount and metric scales, weighs about 1,767g and shares the series-wide 95mm front diameter, M86 filter thread and M0.8 gears.

Constant T2.6 from 25 to 75mm

The aperture does not change as you zoom, so exposure holds through a zoom move. The lens covers full frame with a 43.5mm image circle, and the quad-synchronized zoom mechanism keeps resolution and depth-of-field rendering close to prime lenses – even wide open.

22 elements, including 7 ED and 5 HRI

The optics use 22 elements in 8 groups. Seven low-dispersion ED elements and five high-refractive-index elements suppress chromatic aberration, spherical aberration and coma, and distortion stays low throughout the range – even at the wide end. The design is tuned for 8K resolution.

Smooth fall-off into defocus

The 16-blade iris renders round highlights and a smooth transition between in-focus and out-of-focus areas. The focus ring has a 270° throw for fine pulls, and zoom is driven by a 100° ring with a cam mechanism. The lens is parfocal – focus holds when you change focal length.

The Arles look, now in a zoom

A low-saturation blue coating suppresses flare and ghosting and delivers warm, natural tones with faithful skin. The colour matches the eleven Arles primes and DZOFILM’s other new-generation lenses, so they can be mixed on one project. The look holds at high frame rates too.

A pair with the Arles Zoom 65–180mm

Together with the longer Arles Zoom 65–180mm it covers 25–180mm, with an overlap between 65 and 75mm. Both zooms and the Arles primes share a 95mm front diameter, an 86mm filter thread and M0.8 gears in the same position, so follow focus and matte box stay put when you swap lenses.

PL, EF and mirrorless

The lens ships with a PL mount and can be converted to EF with a tool kit sold separately. With DZOFILM Octopus adapters it fits Sony E, Canon RF, L, Nikon Z, FUJIFILM X and DJI DX. The Marlin 1.4× expander extends the range to 35–105mm and covers selected medium-format sensors.

Rugged, compact build

The aluminium-alloy body is 178mm long (PL) and weighs about 1,767g. It is dust- and splash-resistant, the front element has a dirt-repellent coating and an ultra-matte interior finish cuts stray light. That makes it at home on a gimbal, in a car rig or out in rough terrain.
