Product description
The DZOFILM Marlin 1.4× Expander PL → Canon RF extends the focal length of a PL cine lens by 1.4× and enlarges its image circle. Its 6-element, 4-group optics with high-index SR glass and large aspherical elements preserve the lens's rendering, and a built-in back-focus adjustment replaces shims.
1.4× more focal length from lenses you already own
The expander narrows the field of view and compresses perspective without buying another lens. Light loss stays under one stop – T2.8 becomes T4. With the Arles Zoom 25–75mm and 65–180mm you get 35–105mm and 91–252mm, and the lenses cover selected medium-format sensors.
Rendering as if there were no expander
High-index SR optical elements with large aspherical lenses and a flocked anti-reflective interior suppress stray light and chromatic aberration, so the image keeps the look of the original lens. The optics use 6 elements in 4 groups.
Super 35 lenses on full frame
The enlarged image circle helps Super 35 lenses cover a full-frame sensor, or expands the lens choice for a full-frame body. Your existing set lasts longer and a new one isn't needed. The PL → Canon RF version mounts directly on Canon RF mirrorless and cinema cameras.
Adjustment without shims, stainless mounts
A built-in back-focus adjustment works without removing the lens or using shims, so switching between lenses or cameras is quick – ideal for rental houses and demanding shoots. The front and rear mounts are CNC-machined stainless steel, resist binding and stay accurate after repeated mounting.
