The DZOFILM Arles Zoom set pairs two full-frame cine zooms, 25–75mm and 65–180mm, covering 25–180mm at a constant T2.6. Both are parfocal, have a 43.5mm image circle, a PL mount and metric scales, and match the colour of the Arles primes. They come in a hard carrying case with cut-outs for both lenses.
The wider 25–75mm (3×) and the telephoto 65–180mm (2.8×) cover a range that would otherwise take around eight primes. T2.6 stays constant across both lenses, so exposure holds through a zoom move and when you swap lenses. Both cover full frame with a 43.5mm image circle.
The 25–75mm uses 22 elements in 8 groups (7 ED, 5 HRI), the 65–180mm 20 elements in 8 groups (7 ED, 2 HRI). Low-dispersion and high-refractive-index glass suppresses chromatic aberration, spherical aberration and coma, and distortion stays low throughout the range. The design is tuned for 8K resolution.
The 16-blade iris renders round highlights and a smooth transition between in-focus and out-of-focus areas. The focus ring has a 270° throw for fine pulls, and zoom is driven by a 100° ring with a cam mechanism. The lens is parfocal – focus holds when you change focal length.
A low-saturation blue coating suppresses flare and ghosting and delivers warm, natural tones with faithful skin. The colour matches the eleven Arles primes and DZOFILM’s other new-generation lenses, so they can be mixed on one project. The look holds at high frame rates too.
The ranges overlap between 65 and 75mm, so you can move from one lens to the other without a gap in focal lengths. Both zooms share a 95mm front diameter, an 86mm filter thread and M0.8 gears in the same position as the Arles primes – follow focus and matte box stay put when you swap.
The lenses ship with a PL mount and can be converted to EF with a tool kit sold separately. With DZOFILM Octopus adapters they fit Sony E, Canon RF, L, Nikon Z, FUJIFILM X and DJI DX. The Marlin 1.4× expander turns them into 35–105mm and 91–252mm and covers selected medium-format sensors.
The set comes in a hard DZOFILM carrying case with foam cut-outs for both zooms. The aluminium-alloy bodies weigh about 1,767g (25–75mm) and 1,782g (65–180mm), are dust- and splash-resistant, and the front elements have a dirt-repellent coating – ready for location work.
The DZOFILM Arles Zoom 25-75mm + 65-180mm T2.6 2-Lens Cine Zoom Set provides filmmakers with a broad and practical focal-length range from 25mm wide angle through 180mm telephoto, while maintaining a consistent T2.6 maximum aperture across both lenses. This makes the set particularly useful for narrative filmmaking, commercial production, documentary work, interviews, music videos, and other professional cinema applications where consistent rendering and efficient lens changes are important.
