Two new Panasonic lenses

Panasonic has introduced two new lenses for its LUMIX G (MFT) and LUMIX S (L-Mount) series mirrorless cameras, respectively. The first family will be expanded at the end of February with the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-35 mm f/2.8 Asph. Power O.I.S. (H-ES12035) which follows one of the most popular LUMIX G lenses, the LUMIX G X Vario 12-35 mm f/2.8 II Asph. The updated version will offer a new UHR lens glass composition for more natural colour rendition, a shorter minimum focusing distance of 15 cm (in wide-angle zoom setting) and a magnification of 0.21x (at 17 mm). The LUMIX S L-Mount lineup will be joined in late March by the Panasonic LUMIX S 14-28mm f/4-5.6 Macro (S-R1428), which is the next affordable LUMIX S lens after the very popular 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 (S-R2060) and 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 Macro O.I.S. (S-R70300) models. The lens offers the same length and control placement (at a similar weight) as the LUMIX S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 for easy interchangeability within camera rigs.
