The Datavideo DVK-400 is a standalone 4K real-time chromakey processor that combines camera footage, backgrounds and graphics into a studio composite. It suits broadcast, virtual studios and live presentations where clean edges and control of the finished picture matter.
Real-time 4K chromakey
The Datavideo DVK-400 processes video internally at 4:4:4 and 10-bit and supports formats up to 3840 × 2160p60. It keys standard green or blue backgrounds; Auto Chromakey and Open Angle modes can also help with colours outside the usual green and blue range. Its algorithms are designed to handle difficult details such as blonde hair, smoke, water and shadows.

Inputs and outputs for a studio signal chain
Use 12G/6G/3G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 for the foreground, HDMI 2.0 for the background, and HDMI 1.4 for a Lumakey overlay, external matte or camera. The program output provides two SDI and one HDMI connector; the separate preview output provides SDI and HDMI. A 12G/6G/3G-SDI loop-through passes the signal onward.
Refine the composite and monitor the preview
Key mask, spill correction and edge correction help separate the subject from the background. The post-processor also adjusts brightness, contrast, colour and saturation. A preview output lets the subject monitor the composite in real time. The Windows control app connects over IP; Ethernet and RS-232 control are also available.
