Libec GS-750MQ

The Libec GS-750MQ is a professional GS series tripod system for shoulder cameras up to 17 kg, built for studio, OB and news work. The GH75 head offers continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance across 5.5–14 kg with a counterbalance meter. The system carries 17 kg and adjusts from 84 to 173.5 cm. The camera plate attaches with a single touch and slides ±55 mm.

The complete GS-750MQ system is ready for studio, OB and news work with shoulder cameras up to 17 kg. It combines the new GH75 head with continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance and a counterbalance meter, the two-stage aluminum QL60B tripod with Quick-Lock leg locks with the BR-6B mid-level spreader and FP-2B feet and the RC-70 carrying case. The system weighs 8.2 kg and adjusts from 84 to 173.5 cm.

Balanced at any angle

Continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance keeps the camera balanced at any tilt angle across a 5.5–14 kg range (C.G. 125 mm). With no fixed steps, you can fine-tune it after even the slightest change to the rig.

QL60B legs with Quick-Lock

Each leg is set with a single flip lock at the top, so there is no bending down while setting up. The aluminum tripod carries 60 kg and has a removable carrying handle.

A case on wheels

The RC-70 case has two wheels and a side handle grip, so it is easy to pull along on foot. Soft and hard protectors on all sides absorb impacts, and its rigid design lets it travel as check-in luggage.

Smooth in freezing cold and heat

The layered metal drag unit with special silicone grease gives smoother starts and stops and better backlash control. It keeps the same feel from −40 to +60 °C.

Drag 0 + 7 steps

Seven drag steps plus a friction-free zero position, with no need to store the head in it.

Aluminum levers

All locking levers on the head are aluminum instead of plastic, built for demanding professional use.

Illuminated bubble level

The LED-lit bubble level helps you level the tripod even in the dark.

BR-6B mid-level spreader

The mid-level spreader keeps the ground clear, while the FP-2B large rubber feet hold the tripod on the floor.

Smooth Balance. The counterbalance spring is arranged so the knob turns equally easily across the whole range, even as the tension rises. Adjustment is quick and smooth.

Easier servicing. The internal structure of the head has been fundamentally redesigned to simplify maintenance dramatically and keep the head performing at its best for years.

Sliding plate lock. The redesigned sliding plate lock is more intuitive to use, so the camera goes on faster and fore-and-aft balance is fine-tuned right on location.

Accessory threads. 1/4" and 3/8" threads on the side of the head base take an articulating arm for a monitor, light or other accessory. Because they sit on the base, they do not affect the payload, center of gravity or balance of the head.

GH75 counterbalance chart. The vertical axis shows the height of the camera’s center of gravity above the plate, the horizontal axis the total weight of camera and accessories. The area between the curves is the range the head can balance; a shoulder camera typically sits around 125 mm. At maximum spring strength the tilt is limited to ±40°.
