Sony PXW-FS5 and PXW-Z150 will support HDR via a FW update this July

The Sony PXW-FS5 and PXW-Z150 camcorders will receive HDR capabilities via a software update this July. For the FS5 software update v4.0, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) will be supported, in addition to S-Log3. The HLG2 mode can be set-up quickly through the option of the newly added picture profile -- the BT.2020 colour space can be selected as soon as the HLG mode is activated. HLG mode will also be supported in the PXW-Z150 software update v2.0.
