Practical Use

Natural Working Distance

The 85 mm focal length preserves the natural proportions of the face and gives the photographer plenty of space to interact with the subject. The f/1.8 aperture helps isolate the subject’s expression from the background without distracting elements.

Autofocus

Quiet STM and Eye AF support

The internal focusing group is driven by an STM stepper motor. The lens communicates with the Sony camera body, supports Eye AF, and records exposure data in EXIF. Its smooth operation is also ideal for video.
