On an APS-C sensor, the 85mm focal length offers a field of view equivalent to approximately 127.5mm. The F1.8 aperture helps you work with a shallow depth of field and create a calm, softly blurred background.

Optical Design for Crisp Portraits
Ten elements in seven groups include one ED element, one large-diameter aspherical element, and four high-transmission glass elements. The multi-layer HD Nano coating reduces flare and helps maintain contrast.
Quiet and Precise STM Autofocus
The STM stepper motor and internal focusing ensure fast, smooth, and quiet focusing for both stills and video. The lens supports eye detection and transmits EXIF data to the camera.
Electronic Communication with Fujifilm X
A metal mount with electronic contacts enables autofocus, EXIF data transfer, and aperture control from the camera body. A built-in port allows for lens firmware updates.
Rugged Mark II Metal Body
The second generation features a slimmer design with a constant length during focusing. The rounded nine-blade aperture promotes natural bokeh, and the 72mm thread makes it easy to choose filters.
Lens Hood for Backlit Shooting
The included contoured lens hood reduces side light while protecting the front element. Protective caps and a carrying case make it easy to safely transport the entire kit.
