Tilta Right Angle Rosette Adapter to 1/4"-20 with Locating Pins - Black

The Tilta TA-RRA-1420 right angle adapter has an ARRI rosette on one side and a 1/4″-20 screw with locating pins on the other. The ninety-degree shape brings accessories close in to the camera body — a wireless transmitter, a monitor or a control unit. The thumb screws tighten with your fingers, so no tool is needed to fit it or take it off.

The two most common mounting standards each point a different way: an ARRI rosette to the side, a 1/4″-20 screw up or forward. TA-RRA-1420 links them through a fixed ninety-degree bracket, so a part with one interface goes onto a rig that offers the other. Its most common use is the Nucleus Nano II control unit on the rosette arms of the Tilta Lightweight Shoulder Rig.

What the adapter offers

An ARRI standard rosette with an M4 thread in the centre on one side, a 1/4″-20 screw with a locating pin on the other. Both sides tighten with a thumb screw, so the setting changes without a key.

Nucleus Nano II on a rosette arm

The Nucleus Nano II control unit has a 1/4″-20 thread underneath. Through this adapter it reaches the rosette arms of the Tilta Lightweight Shoulder Rig, exactly where the operator wants it within reach.

Thumb screws, no tools

Both joints use a thumb screw with a large head. The adapter goes on and off with your fingers, so no allen key has to be found when the rig is rebuilt.

Close in to the camera body

The right angle keeps accessories tucked against the rig rather than sticking out. A wireless transmitter or a monitor does not widen the silhouette and does not catch on a doorframe or on the operator’s shoulder.

The locating pin next to the 1/4″-20 screw stops the attached part from turning around the screw. That is why it is also used where leverage acts on the accessory — transmitters with an aerial, or a monitor on an articulating arm.
