The Tilta HDA-T08-MK-R2 Hydra Arm Mini Modification Kit upgrades the standard Tilta Hydra Arm Mini specifically for DJI Ronin 2 users, boosting maximum payload from ~17 lb to an impressive 17.6–28.7 lb (8–13 kg) while dramatically reducing high-frequency road vibrations through a steel-wire shock absorber head, heavy-duty spring, dedicated Ronin 2 quick-release mount and dual support cables – all in a 2-section arm configuration for the smoothest, heaviest-duty car-to-car and vehicle-mounted gimbal shots.
The Tilta HDA-T08-MK-R2 kit replaces the stock polyurethane dampers with steel-wire shock absorbers that excel at killing harsh vibrations from rough roads and high-speed driving. A stiffer heavy-duty spring raises the safe working load to 28.7 lb, while the included quick-release Ronin 2 adapter plate allows direct, tool-free gimbal mounting without extra dovetails. Two 2-meter stainless-steel support cables add redundancy and further stabilize the system. Note: this modification limits the arm to two sections only (no third extension) to maintain safety margins at the higher payload.

The original spring on the Hydra Mini Arm has a limited payload capacity. The modification kit includes an upgraded spring for the shock-absorbing arm, raising the payload capacity to 8–13 kg.

Because of demand for stronger shock absorption when mounting the Ronin 2, we replaced the original polyurethane head material with steel wire. This eliminates high-frequency vibrations and keeps gimbal performance stable.

To integrate the Ronin 2 with our system easily, we designed a dedicated mount adapter for it.

Shorter support cables allow a two-arm setup, which improves flexibility when filming in tight environments.
