The Tilta HDA-T15-HM-TG handlebar mount puts the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm where a suction cup has nothing to hold on to — a bicycle, an e-bike or a motorcycle. The clamp takes 28.8 mm bars, or 22.2 mm with the bushing fitted; the toothed lock holds the set angle even over bumps. It weighs only 83 g and is made of aluminium alloy, SUS304 stainless steel and nylon.
The handlebar mount for Hydra Alien Mini is the part that turns a car mount into a mount for two wheels. It replaces the electronic suction cup wherever the vehicle has no flat surface: on the handlebar of a bicycle, e-bike or motorcycle, but also on any tube of the same diameter. The same mount comes in the Hydra Alien Mini Master Kit and Biking Kit.
The clamp opens, wraps around the bar and tightens with the lever screw; the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm then goes onto its rosette just as it would onto the suction cup. The joint is toothed, so the angle you set does not give way over roots and bumps. The arm damps the shocks from the bars before they reach the camera — and on a bike or motorcycle that is the only route to steady footage.
Without the bushing the clamp takes 28.8 mm bars, with the bushing fitted 22.2 mm — the usual handlebars of motorcycles and bicycles. The mount weighs only 83 g, so it adds practically nothing to the rig; it is made of aluminium alloy, SUS304 stainless steel and nylon, and in titanium grey it matches the other Alien Mini parts.
Hydra Alien Mini is Tilta's damped mount for action cameras, pocket gimbals and phones up to 600 g: a hydraulically damped arm that sticks to a car with the electronic suction cup, bolts to the handlebar of a bicycle or motorcycle, or goes handheld. The parts connect through a rosette and a 1/4″-20 thread, so one rig is reconfigured to suit the vehicle — this part is one of them.
