Tilta Arri Alexa Mini Power to PTAP Cable

The Tilta TCB-DTP-2BBCE-17 is a coiled P-Tap → 8-pin Lemo power cable for the ARRI Alexa Mini camera. It plugs into the P-Tap output of a battery plate — designed for the Tilta Universal Battery Plate, though it fits any P-Tap port — and powers the Alexa Mini through its 8-pin Lemo power input from a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery.

The Tilta TCB-DTP-2BBCE-17 is the simplest way to give the Alexa Mini a big battery without the camera maker's own plate: any V-Mount or Gold Mount plate with a P-Tap port will do. The coiled cable stretches only when needed and pulls back to the cage body at rest.

P-Tap → 8-pin Lemo for the Alexa Mini

The P-Tap (D-Tap) plug goes into the output of a Tilta battery plate or into a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery with a P-Tap port. The other end is an 8-pin Lemo plug that belongs in the power input of the ARRI Alexa Mini camera. The camera then runs from the usual big battery on the rig — from the Tilta Universal Battery Plate the cable was designed for, but equally from any other plate with P-Tap. The Lemo connector locks in the camera input and will not work loose during operation.

Coiled cable close to the cage

The cable is coiled: at rest it pulls in towards the battery plate and stretches only as far as needed when the battery comes off or sits further from the camera. No loose loop hangs on the rig to catch a hand or a tripod arm.

The conductors are copper, the jacket rubber and the connectors aluminium alloy and ABS plastic. The cable passes the battery voltage through unregulated — the Alexa Mini is built to run from V-Mount or Gold Mount batteries, so that suits it.

Lengths follow the rig — short on the cage, longer out to arms and batteries; this cable is one of them.
