Tilta 1/4"-20 Camera Strap Attachment - Black

The Tilta 1/4″-20 Camera Strap Attachment is a ten-gram loop that adds a strap point where the cage maker never put one. It screws into any 1/4″-20 thread — on a cage or straight into a camera body — and carries 5 kilograms. The swivel bow turns a damped 360°, so the strap never twists.

Cages have plenty of 1/4″-20 threads but rarely a strap lug. This attachment turns any thread into one: screw it in, tighten it with the supplied screwdriver, and there is a point for the strap carabiner — on the side of the cage, on the top handle or on the bottom plate, depending on how you want to carry the camera.

Ten grams, 5 kg payload

The whole attachment is aluminum alloy and weighs ten grams — on the cage you notice it neither by weight nor by outline. It still carries up to five kilograms, so a heavier body with a lens can hang from it, on both ends of the strap at once.

A pin against twisting

The underside carries a 1/4″-20 thread with a locating pin beside it. On a cage with a thread and a locating hole the attachment will not rotate even after a long day of carrying; on a cage without one, tightening with the supplied flat screwdriver holds it.

Bow with damped 360° rotation

The bow that takes the strap turns a full 360°, and the rotation is damped. The strap follows the movement of your body without twisting, while the bow does not swing about on its own or rattle against the cage.

Silicone on the contact face

A silicone pad sits on the contact face. It keeps the aluminum of the attachment from wearing the anodising of the cage or the paint of a body — and it increases friction, so the joint holds even at a lower torque.
