Sony BP-U35

Sony BP-U series battery with a capacity of 35 Wh for professional XDCAM, NXCAM and Cinema Line cameras. Weighing around 235 g, it also suits gimbal work, and it charges in about 90 minutes with the BC-U1A or BC-U2A charger. Four LEDs on the battery, plus the camera's display and viewfinder, show the remaining capacity.

A compact battery for mobile shooting

The BP-U35 offers 35 Wh at a weight of approx. 235 g. It suits setups where every gram counts – on a gimbal, for example.

Battery status right in the camera

The battery continuously sends status data to the camera, so you see the remaining capacity on the LCD monitor and in the viewfinder without interrupting the shot.

Faster charging than the BP-U30

With the BC-U1A or BC-U2A charger, the battery is charged in approx. 90 minutes – faster than the previous generation BP-U30, and with higher capacity.

Four LEDs on the battery

Four LEDs show the remaining capacity in steps of 20, 40, 60 and 80 %.

From −20 to +45 °C

It can be discharged at temperatures from −20 to +45 °C and charged from 0 to 40 °C.

The BP-U35 is a 35 Wh capacity lithium-ion battery optimised for professional video shooting. Its compact size and low weight make the BP-U35 ideal for high-mobility applications such as gimbal mounting.

Battery status data is continuously communicated to the camera. Remaining capacity is displayed on the camera’s LCD monitor and viewfinder, allowing operators to monitor battery status easily and accurately while shooting.

The BP-U35 offers higher capacity and a faster charging time than the previous generation BP-U30.
