SKAARHOJ Mega Panel Cygnus

The SKAARHOJ 2 M/E Mega Panel Cygnus is a modular live production control system designed for professional broadcast environments. Built from multiple SKAARHOJ control modules, it provides a fully customizable 2 M/E switching surface with integrated PTZ, transition, and quick shot control, all connected via Gigabit PoE for flexible, network-based operation.

The SKAARHOJ 2 M/E Mega Panel Cygnus is a high-end modular live switching console designed for complex broadcast and live production workflows. It combines multiple SKAARHOJ control surfaces into a unified 2 M/E (Mix/Effect) system, delivering a fully customizable production interface that can be adapted to different broadcast environments. The system is built from interconnected modules including T-Block Left and Right units, Master Key 48 panels, Quick Shot modules, and PTZ View control surfaces, all mounted within a slim, rack-style enclosure.

At its core, the Cygnus system is engineered for flexibility and scalability. Each module connects via Gigabit Ethernet with Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling both power and data distribution through a single network infrastructure. This allows operators to deploy complex control layouts without excessive cabling while maintaining full synchronization between all modules.

The system supports major broadcast platforms including Blackmagic Design ATEM, vMix, NewTek TriCaster, Grass Valley Kairos, Ross Carbonite, and other IP-based production systems. This makes it suitable for television studios, OB vans, and hybrid IP production environments.

Each module within the Cygnus system provides specialized functionality:

• T-Block modules offer programmable 4-way buttons, NKK keys, OLED displays, and T-bar control for live switching and M/E operations
• Master Key 48 modules provide advanced switching with RGB metering, OLED feedback, and NKK button integration
• Quick Shot modules deliver fast-access programmable control with OLED-labeled buttons for scene or shot triggering
• PTZ View modules provide dedicated camera control and positioning functions

Together, these modules create a fully integrated production surface capable of handling complex multi-camera switching, PTZ control, transitions, and real-time workflow management.

The system runs on SKAARHOJ’s skaarOS platform with Blue Pill Inside technology, enabling deep customization, IP-based configuration, and integration with external control systems. Its slim enclosure design ensures rack efficiency while maintaining ergonomic usability.
