3.5 mm TRS jack and USB-C

The plug of the output cable from a microphone, receiver or recorder goes into the gold-plated 3.5 mm TRS jack, and the USB-C connector into a phone, tablet or computer. The short cable measures 7.6 cm and weighs 6 g.

A microphone on a phone

The cable of an on-camera microphone on a phone holder plugs into the adapter, and the adapter into USB-C. The video, recording or streaming app must support external USB-C audio.

Mono, stereo and dual channel

The adapter carries mono and stereo signals – from a mono or stereo microphone, two separate channels from a dual receiver such as the UwMic9, or the stereo output of a mixer. It does not send audio out of the phone.

Additional information

With the adapter, the output of a record player or cassette deck can also be recorded into a USB-C computer. Gold-plated contacts improve signal transfer and resist corrosion. It is a one-way input adapter – it does not send audio to headphones or any other device.
