Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR

The NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR is a lightweight telephoto zoom for Nikon Z DX-format cameras. Its 5× zoom reaches 250 mm, optical vibration reduction (VR) is rated at 5 stops, and focusing is fast and quiet. It weighs 405 g and is very compact when retracted – ideal for travel, sports, portraits and video.

Action

Enjoy the freedom to choose: zoom in on dramatic details of distant subjects or go shorter to capture the whole scene. Fast focusing keeps even very quick action sharp.

Portraits

Shoot portraits with softly blurred backgrounds from a distance, even in weaker light. A minimum focus distance of 0.5 m at 50 mm lets you focus on nearby subjects too.

Compact for travel

When retracted, this telephoto zoom for DX cameras is very compact. The button-free retracting mechanism works simply by turning the zoom ring, and once retracted the lens locks so it does not extend in your bag.

A versatile telephoto

Such a versatile telephoto zoom opens up a wide range of possibilities. It captures distant scenes with perfect sharpness, and its focusing speed keeps pace with the action. Thanks to the large-diameter Nikon Z mount it gathers more light across the frame, giving every photo and video more detail, depth and colour.

Vibration reduction (VR) and quiet focusing

This NIKKOR Z lens excels at stills and video alike. Built-in vibration reduction (VR) lets you shoot at shutter speeds up to 5 stops slower, so shots in fading light are more brilliant and video is free of unwanted shake, even when filming on the move. Focusing is fast and nearly silent, and the quiet control ring can handle manual focus, aperture or exposure compensation.
