The Manfrotto 357PLV-1 (also marked 357PLV) is the classic long sliding quick-release plate with 80 mm of travel, supplied with both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 camera screws, rubber grip strips, and a removable/retractable VHS anti-rotation pin. It is the standard plate for all Manfrotto 357-system video heads and allows perfect fore-aft balance of heavy camcorders with matte boxes, follow-focus, long lenses or big batteries.

SLIDING PLATE FOR BALANCED VIDEO RIGS

The long 357-system plate offers 80 mm of travel to balance a camera accurately on a video head. Two mounting threads, rubber strips and a retractable anti-rotation pin keep the rig securely positioned.

The Manfrotto 357PLV-1 is the current version of the legendary 120 mm long sliding plate introduced with the 357 quick-release adapter. Precision-machined from black anodized aluminum, it features two rubber grip strips, an 80 mm sliding range, and a spring-loaded retractable video pin that prevents camcorder twist. Both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 screws are included (stored under the plate), and the pin can be completely removed if needed. It locks securely into any 357 or 357PLV-compatible receiver with the large side lever.
