The GH75 head from the new GS series carries shoulder cameras up to 17 kg in the studio, on OB and in the field. It offers continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance across 5.5–14 kg with a counterbalance meter, a 7-step drag with a free position, an illuminated bubble level, aluminum locking levers and a 100 mm ball base. The head weighs 4.2 kg.
A video head with a 100 mm ball base, counterbalance meter, 7-step drag and a one-touch camera plate.

Continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance keeps the camera balanced at any tilt angle across a 5.5–14 kg range (C.G. 125 mm). With no fixed steps, you can fine-tune it after even the slightest change to the rig.
The counterbalance meter right on the knob shows how strongly the spring is set, so you can return to your preferred setting quickly. The Smooth Balance System keeps the knob equally easy to turn across the whole range.
The camera plate attaches and detaches with a single touch, and the redesigned sliding plate lock makes fore-and-aft balancing easier. The plate slides ±55 mm and holds the camera with two 3/8" screws.
The layered metal drag unit with special silicone grease gives smoother starts and stops and better backlash control. It keeps the same feel from −40 to +60 °C.
Seven drag steps plus a friction-free zero position, with no need to store the head in it.
All locking levers on the head are aluminum instead of plastic, built for demanding professional use.
The LED-lit bubble level helps you level the tripod even in the dark.
1/4" and 3/8" threads on the side of the head base take an arm for a monitor or light without affecting the balance.
Easier servicing. The internal structure of the head has been fundamentally redesigned to simplify maintenance dramatically and keep the head performing at its best for years.

GH75 counterbalance chart. The vertical axis shows the height of the camera’s center of gravity above the plate, the horizontal axis the total weight of camera and accessories. The area between the curves is the range the head can balance; a shoulder camera typically sits around 125 mm. At maximum spring strength the tilt is limited to ±40°.

The Libec GH75 head pairs well with a zoom control for the pan handle, a second pan handle and a monitor arm.
Zoom control – Compact zoom controls that clamp onto the pan handle.
Arm and handle – An articulating arm for a monitor and a second pan handle.
