Manfrotto SLIDING PLATE ADAPTOR

Manfrotto 357-1 adds a sliding quick-release platform to a compatible camera support. The included 357PLV-1 plate offers 80 mm of travel for fore-aft balancing and comes with two 1/4″ and two 3/8″ camera screws plus a removable anti-rotation pin. The aluminium adapter weighs 330 g and measures 140 × 100 × 22.5 mm. It suits moving a camera between compatible supports without repeatedly removing its plate; check the receiving plate system and mounting interface before use.

Leave the plate on the camera and mount the adapter on a compatible support. Check the support screw and bearing surface against the adapter's underside before assembly.

Adjust for your camera rig

The 80 mm sliding range lets you adjust the mounting position when lenses, batteries or rig accessories change the weight distribution. It does not guarantee balance for every rig. The included removable anti-rotation pin is for cameras with a matching locating socket.

Keep the plate attached to the camera and use the adapter on a compatible support. The underside provides the mounting interface; check the support's screw and bearing surface before assembly. This is a plate adapter, not a fluid head or a universal replacement for every Manfrotto plate system.

A practical aluminium assembly

The receiver has a locking control and safety catch. Hold the camera while releasing the plate and check that it is securely seated and locked before use. Use 357PLV-1 or the separately available compatible 357PLONG; a tripod, head and camera are not included.
