Featuring double-braced legs, one leveling leg, spring-loaded boom counterbalance, 12 kg total payload and optional wheel compatibility, it’s the strongest and most versatile convertible boom stand in the Manfrotto range—perfect for overhead lighting, hair lights, or large modifiers in busy studios.

The Manfrotto 420CSUNS is the upgraded “Heavy Duty” version of the 420B Combi-Boom. With four-section aluminum column (35 mm top tube) and steel base, it reaches a towering 392 cm as a stand and converts in seconds to a 191 cm horizontal boom with smooth coaxial spring damping for precise height/angle control. Top attachment offers 16 mm socket + 3/8″ and 1/4″ threads, and optional 018 wheels can be added for full studio mobility.
