Libec NX-400MQC

The Libec NX-400MQC tripod set consists of QL40C carbon fiber legs, NH40 video head, BR-2B center spreader, Long Plate S plate, and sturdy FP-1B rubber feet. The RC-30 bag is also included. The system carries up to 10 kg and the free + 5 step counterbalance covers 0–10 kg at a 55 mm C.G. Each leg adjusts with a single flip lock, the height is 79.5–167 cm and the system weighs 4.5 kg.

The Libec NX-400MQC is a tripod system for video cameras up to 10 kg. It combines the NH40 video head with a multi-step counterbalance, the lightweight QL40C carbon tripod with Quick-Lock leg locks, the BR-2B mid-level spreader with FP-1B large rubber feet, the Long Plate S long sliding plate and the RC-30 carrying case. The system weighs 4.5 kg and adjusts from 79.5 to 167 cm.

Balanced in five steps

The multi-step counterbalance offers a free position plus five steps, covering 0 to 10 kg at a 55 mm C.G. You balance the camera quickly, without lengthy fine-tuning.

Dual head base

The NH40 head mounts on a 75 mm bowl tripod as well as on a flat base, so it also fits sliders and dollies. The sliding plate attaches and releases with a single touch.

Everything in one case

The system comes with the RC-30 carrying case, so head, tripod and spreader travel together.

Quick to set up, rock solid

The QL40C adjusts with a single flip lock per leg, so you change the height quickly and without bending down. Its carbon tubes are light, yet the tripod carries up to 40 kg.

3-step drag

A multilayered metal drag unit offers a free position plus three steps for smooth pans.

Tilt +90° to −70°

The head works from −40 to +60 °C and has an illuminated bubble level.

Sliding plate

The ±30 mm sliding plate is compatible with Manfrotto and Sachtler heads.

Accessory threads

Head and tripod have 1/4" and 3/8" holes for a monitor, light or arm.

NH40 Head. The new NH40 video head features improved durability for long-term use and significantly increased clamping force of the sliding plate and locking force of the pan and tilt mechanism. Compared to previous models, the "clicking" feel of each resistance control wheel has been improved, and their clarity has also been increased by adding indicator marks to the counterweight control wheel and resistance control wheels.

Mobility and low weight. The NH series heads combine a lightweight design with a multi-stage counterbalance system that allows for quick adjustment. Combining this video head with the lightweight QL40C tripod with quick-release system creates synergy for increased mobility.

Precise control. Thanks to the skilled craftsmen at Libec Japan, an innovative design has been created that maximizes the performance of the NX. The result is a significant reduction in vibration and play during pan and tilt movements, offering the best precision control in its class.

Multi-stage counterbalance system. The NX series supports a wide range of camera configurations thanks to a multi-stage counterbalance system that accommodates different production styles. Users can choose from 5 counterbalance steps/modes, including a zero "free" mode, allowing for quick counterbalance adjustment.

Advanced multi-stage drag unit. With an emphasis on controllability, durability, and reliability, this system uses a multi-layer metal construction. Compared to the inexpensive plastic units used by other brands, it ensures a smooth start, suppresses backlash, and provides excellent durability even with long-term use. The use of premium silicone grease provides a premium feel and maintains consistent operation even at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C. Unlike other products, there is no need to set the drag wheel to zero when storing.

Accessory ports for added convenience. The tripod base has three sets of accessory ports with 1/4" and 3/8" threads, making it easy to securely attach monitors, lights, and other accessories.

Double-sided gearing. The heads are equipped with teeth on both sides so that an additional swivel handle or other accessories can be attached.

Double head. The double head design is available for both 75mm hemispherical and flat base tripods. The double head can also be used with sliders, camera dollies, and photo tripods.

Snap-on sliding plate (Snap ON/OFF). The sliding plate can be attached and released with a single touch. Easy and smooth adjustment in the field is thus quickly achievable.

Highly compatible sliding plate. In addition to Libec's TH and HS series, this universal sliding plate can also be used with many other 75mm video heads and gimbals from other manufacturers.

LED spirit level. The spirit level is equipped with an LED light that allows you to level the tripod even in the dark.

Safety design. The tripod legs are carefully designed with safety in mind so that users do not pinch their fingers when intentionally or unintentionally folding the tripod.

Cup clamp with "adjustable pad". Removing the pad from the bowl clamp extends the length of the thread for insertion, allowing more devices to be attached to the head.

Weight hook. The included hook allows you to hang weights, which increases the stability of the tripod and helps it withstand strong winds and other situations where greater stability is needed.
